It’s finally Christmas in the 007 house!
I have been feeling down so it took me a little while longer than usual to deck our halls, but now they are decked and I am so glad. I forgot how fun it is to get all the things out and put on Christmas music and just be together. Addison was bouncing off the walls she was so excited. It snowed last night while we were putting everything out, so that made it even better. I had to try extra hard not to get irritated with Addie because she was talking a mile a minute and then the phone rang. It was a recorded message from her principal saying that school was canceled for Friday. That just added to her already overwhelming excitement.
I had to keep reminding myself that this is as good as it gets for a second grader. She won’t always be so happy to be with us. In a few years she will be upstairs on the phone talking about how it’s like so lame to put up the tree with her family. Ooh shiver I don’t like to think about it.
It was a pretty fun night in our house. I stayed up until 1 in the morning putting up the final touches. It’s just easier to do it when the 14 month old is asleep and the seven year old isn’t doing flips behind me on the living room floor.
Also Merlot helps…a lot.
Here are some picture of the fruits of my labor. I didn’t put all of the beautiful Christopher Radko ornaments on the tree that my mother in law has given me over the years . I just didn’t want to risk it this year with a stupid kitten and Livie being oh so curious.
Here are some of my favorite’s

This one is broken as of about 10 minutes ago. I was worried about the baby breaking ornaments and Addison was the culprit.

Addison's favorite...and mine too!

This one plays "I want a Hippopatamus for Christmas"

Have you ever eaten a Varsity hotdog? You should!

Alivia's first Christmas ornament from last year

Go Dawgs!
Here is the full tree. No matter how many shots I took I couldn’t capture it right. Oh well…

Here is a close up of the top. My hubby plays the upright bass so that is why we have one as our tree topper.

Our stockings are homemade! My Aunt Karen made them for us last year!

Here is one of my favorite things we have.

And let’s not forget the real reason for the season!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

I love your ornaments! Very pretty!
It is absolutely beautiful! And I want a Varsity ornament!!! Every time we go to ATL we eat there on our way out of town.
I am still working on my tree…I am more than sad now that all my favorite Hallmark ornaments won’t hang on my tree this year! (stuck in a storage room we let a friend use when he had a stroke)
Merry Christmas
Love it! BTW, your link from my page says 404 error page not found. But, I’m smart and found it anyway

I love “I want a Hippopatamus for Christmas” ~ it’s such a fun happy song. Thanks for sharing your tree.
I love The Varsity, too! Your topper is great- so personal. Our family needs an Arthur ornament. I catch myself watching even when the kids aren’t around!

Merry Christmas!
I love all of your Christmasy touches and enjoyed seeing the ornaments! Come and visit me at my house (blog!)
Too bad about being far from the dogs an dawgs! I assumed you lived in GA. I grew up in Hendersonville, TN and went to school in Knoxville.
Have a great holiday with your family!
1) I can’t get my tree to look right in a photo either. I think it’s a conspiracy.
2) I LOVE the tree topper!!!! I gave two good Jr. High years to ATTEMPTING to play the violin – - – not pretty.
3) I figured out the whole Mrs. 007 thing even BEFORE I clicked on your link to learn. I LOVE the header – - – she (I guess that would be you) is SO cool and so capable and I’m pretty sure that’s entirely the BEST use of a spatula I’ve EVER seen.
Merry Christmas
I love the mantle and the stockings… very nice! Merry Christmas!

ashley
