I LOVE to talk about myself…hence the personal blog
I try to be a good parent, wife, and friend.
I am at home most of the time.
I love pretty, eye catching things, but not in a pretentious way.
I just want to live a good life.
I want to be comfortable and I am big on quality.
If something is made well, or done right then it always saves you time and money and probably a lot of frustration.
I love to learn and I soak up information through every day life experiences.
One of my goals is to not be a narrow-minded person.
I want my kids to know what is truly important in life.
I want to leave a defining legacy for my children.
I believe that family is absolutely the reason for living.
There is too much static created by the media in our world. Don’t get me wrong, I think the media has it’s place, but please don’t trust everything you see on TV.
Read some books by some people who really know what is going on.
I am most definitely not capable of small talk.
I am a big fan of the dot dot dot…a BIG fan.
I love to laugh, and most of the time and I am a glass half full kind of girl.
Over the past few years I have learned to really look at all of the good things in life instead of focusing on the things that go wrong.
I firmly believe that you can get through anything if you can just manage to keep your faith strong and trust in God.
It is a huge relief to me to know that there is a greater plan than the one I might have for my life.
My family and friends are great, and I feel lucky to be alive.
I try to keep a positive attitude and an open mind.
I have good days and I have bad days, just like everyone else.
I have come to realize that we are all just basically trying to figure out what makes us happy and do those things continuously.
The people and things that make me happy? Here they are in no particular order:
Addison and Alivia……Adam….. um BLOGGING!….my brother and my parents living on my street (I know it’s kind of weird, but we don’t see each other every day)….shopping at Target…… when the house is clean and I am caught up with the laundry….. recycling….. yard sales…..breastfeeding… Saturday morning pancakes and coffee….. getting a tan (I know it’s bad, but I still like it)…..good fresh flowers….. feel good movies….. decorating for holidays….. clean babies…… made up beds…… opening the windows and screen doors in the spring and fall……baby wearing…. trick or treating…… baking…… when my whole family is together at the Farm…. getting new stuff for the house…… surprise kisses….. getting into our fabulous bed….. hot showers….. getting to hang out with Cynthia and get my hair did!….. the beach!!!!!….. wine!….. going down memory lane….. watching HGTV (it’s so anti anxiety for me)….. baskets….. fantasizing about one day buying something expensive from Pottery Barn…. my Odyssey….. Pilates ….. walking to school with Alivia to pick up Addie….. my hotsling!….. hot tubs….. eating my dad’s cooking….. Adam’s sense of humor….. ok that should be enough I think. See I told you I like dot dot dots
Ok, so I know what I like and what makes me happy. It may not be trendy or popular, but sometimes I like to think I am still pretty cool.

Ashley,
Your mother shared this with me also and I think it’s great. I also feel like I know you better. You really put your heart into it and showed your passion for life and family, and I totally agree with you. Your children are sooooo cute! I can’t wait to see all of you again. Come swimming at our pool any time you want (whether we’re there or not). Seriously.
Nice site! Very good work!
